His series of « Shirahana » meaning white flower whose name comes from a Japanese traditional color, are high-fired non glazed ceramics and made with the local Bizen soil. It has almost the same characteristics as other Bizen. This is different from traditional whitish Bizen ware called Shirobizen, it’s his original ware.
